【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethod,bydeterminationofcarbondioxide(CO2),fortheevaluationinanaqueousmediumoftheultimatebiodegradabilityoforganiccompoundsatagivenconcentrationbyaerobicmicroorganisms.Themethodappliestoorganiccompoundswhichare:a)water-solubleundertheconditionsofthetest,inwhichcaseremovalofDOCmaybedeterminedasadditionalinformation(seeannexD);b)poorlywater-solubleundertheconditionsofthetest,inwhichcasespecialmeasuresmaybenecessarytoachievegooddispersionofthecompound(see,forexample,ISO10634);c)non-volatileorwhichhaveanegligiblevapourpressureundertheconditionsofthetest;NOTEForvolatilesubstancesuseforexampleISO9408orISO14593.d)notinhibitorytothetestmicroorganismsattheconcentrationchosenforthetest.NOTEThepresenceofinhibitoryeffectscanbedeterminedasspecifiedin8.3,orbyusinganyothermethodfordeterminingtheinhibitoryeffectofacompoundonbacteria(see,forexample,ISO8192).
