【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthinveneerbrickunitsmadefromclay,shale,fireclay,sand,ormixturesthereof,andfiredtoincipientfusionforuseinadheredorfastenedveneerapplications.Threetypesofthinveneerbrickunitsineachoftwogradesarecovered.Inthisspecification,thetermthinveneerbrickshallbeunderstoodtomeanclaymasonryunitwithamaximumthicknessof1x00BE;in.(44.45mm).Note18212;BrickintendedforpavingshouldbespecifiedunderSpecificationC902.1.2Thepropertyrequirementsofthisspecificationapplyatthetimeofpurchase.Theuseofresultsfromtestingofbrickextractedfrommasonrystructuresfordeterminingconformanceornonconformancetothepropertyrequirements(Section5)ofthisspecificationisbeyondthescopeofthisspecification.1.3Brickcoveredbythisspecificationaremanufacturedfromclay,shale,orsimilarnaturallyoccurringsubstancesandsubjectedtoaheattreatmentatelevatedtemperatures(firing).Theheattreatmentmustdevelopsufficientfiredbondbetweentheparticulateconstituentstoprovidethestrengthanddurabilityrequirementsofthespecification.(Seex201C;firingx201D;andx201C;firedbondx201D;inTerminologyC1232.)1.4Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
